Thomson, Hobbs crowned golf champs
Nick Thomson and Tracey Hobbs are Horsham's golf champions for 2025.
As the 2025 Latus Jewellers Horsham Golf Club Championships concluded on Saturday afternoon, Thompson emerged victorious from an exciting play-off against Lewis Gebert to claim the A grade men's title.
Thomson ended the championship series with rounds of 74, 72, 68 and 72.
Gebert and June Crabree won the A grade men's and women's nett with 282 and 296 respectively.
Hobbs was crowned as the women's A grade champion after shooting 76, 84, 82 and 88.
Tim Officer and Lil Mayer are the new intermediate champions.
In B grade, Stephen Wik and Marg Moore were triumphant, and Tyron Hammerstein and Val Scott led the way in C grade.
The Puss Smith Trophy went to Sue Walter.
The club thanked Latus Jewellers for its continued sponsorship, saying the business had been consistently supporting golf in Horsham for more than 30 years.
