Telstra upgrading 4G/5G coverage in Birchip

SOME disruptions to Telstra mobile services will take place in under two weeks time as the network operator upgrades its mobile base station that services areas of Birchip, Birchip West, Narraport, Whirily, Karyrie, Kinnabulla, Maribed and Morton Plains to bring a better 4G and 5G user experience.

To upgrade its mobile services in Birchip, Telstra needs to switch off the tower for up to 10 hours a day from September 20 for nine days. Telstra mobile customers will receive an SMS advising of the upcoming work. The works will not impact NBN, Satellite internet services, PSTN landline services, or mobile coverage from other providers.
