Holmes steps down from Hindmarsh
Hindmarsh Shire Council has accepted the request of their new Chief Executive, Jessie Holmes, to be released from her contract.

Ms Holmes served as Hindmarsh's Director of Infrastructure, and was due to start her new position on October 16 last year.
She was unanimously voted in following Greg Wood's decision not to stand again for CEO, and has been on leave receiving treatment for a medical condition since then.
Hindmarsh Shire Council mayor Cr Brett Ireland said the decision to accept Ms Holmes request was made reluctantly.
“I am sure I speak on behalf of all the councillors when I say it is with sadness that we heard Ms Holmes would not be taking up the role," Cr Ireland said.
"Councillors voted unanimously for her appointment and were certain that Jessie would lead the Shire with distinction.
"We wish her all the best in her future endeavours and a speedy recovery as she will be an asset to any organisation that she chooses to be involved with.”
Council said they will commence the process of recruiting for a new CEO shortly.
The position will continue to be managed by acting-CEO Monica Revell, who has been doing so since October.
Ms Holmes said she was grateful for council's support, and drew on her experience as CEO of Yarriambiack Shire when making her decision.
"I am grateful for the unwavering support of the councillors, staff, and community," she said.
"Being a CEO is a privilege and it requires 110 per cent to serve the community through the council.
I am not in a position - at present or in the near future - to give the role the attention it deserves."
